THE ORGANIZATION

Founded in 2009, KEYS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, private-public partnership, dedicated to enhancing access to supportive services for low-income residents in San Bernardino County.  KEYS provides an array of services including case management to assist families and individuals in accessing existing resources and services within the County.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision plans, organizes and assists with all phases of budgetary and fiscal tracking/record keeping to meet grant reporting and invoicing requirements, and provides skilled clerical duties including but not limited to; drafting and revising reports, forms and other activities and communications to support agency.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs a variety of clerical accounting duties involving financial record keeping and/or transactions including, accounts payable and receivable.

 

  • Performs data entry into applicable databases and prepares information and data for analysis and other reports; maintains spreadsheets, schedules, logs, and records; checks and tabulates basic statistical data.

 

  • Monitors and conducts reconciling and balancing of TFA accountings; makes and justifies necessary adjustments. Analyzes situations accurately and recommends an effective course of action.

 

  • Reconciles monthly statements for grant invoicing; accurately counts, records and balances assigned transactions, confers with supervisors(s) regarding, invoices and payments.

 

  • Assists in management of payments; verifies amounts against procurement records, enters data; balances and processes payments as directed and forwards to appropriate staff.

 

  • Inputs requisitions; processes and verifies purchase orders, and invoices; verifies accuracy of information; research’s discrepancies and unauthorized purchases.

 

 

  • Prepares or assists in the preparation of various reports where initiative is required in order to make modifications of format and procedure to bring the structure and content of documents into consonance with the needs of the agency.

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS

Associates degree. Bachelors preferred, or equivalent of 4 years general clerical accounting/reporting experience.

Ability to provide own transportation with acceptable driving record and auto insurance limits.
