SALARY RANGE      $14.00 – $16.00/hr

STATUS                    Hourly (Non-Exempt) –Full-Time (40 hrs/wk) 

 

THE ORGANIZATION

Founded in 2009, KEYS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, private-public partnership, dedicated to enhancing access to supportive services for low-income residents in San Bernardino County.  KEYS provides an array of services including case management to assist families and individuals in accessing existing resources and services within the County.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general supervision plan, organize and assist with all phases of screening for homeless or at risk of homeless individuals and families including but not limited to office activities and communications to support department/location to carry out routine administrative duties as assigned.  Provide responsive and efficient customer service.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs front office duties by answering the telephone, greeting guests and providing general information regarding KEYS programs as required. Refers calls to services providers as necessary.

 

  • Assists with program screening and assessment, acquires all necessary documentation for an admission. Reviews client files and addresses inquiries.

 

  • Provides program support through typing and proofreading a variety of documents including general correspondence; prepares purchase requests, applicant/ participant satisfaction surveys, and other forms.

 

  • Performs data entry into applicable database and prepares information and data for reports; maintains files, schedules, logs, and records; checks and tabulates basic statistical data.

 

  • Sorts and files/scans documents and records, maintaining alphabetical, index and cross reference files, and analyzes and responds to applicant inquiries and documents file.

 

  • Supports office by ensuring adequate inventory of office supplies and upon approval, procures needed supplies.

 

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent with training in typing, computer software programs, filing and office practices. Associates preferred.  Equivalent of 2 years general clerical experience with direct public contact preferred. Bilingual preferred. Ability to provide own transportation with acceptable driving record and auto insurance limits.
